Our Montessori curriculum is based on the idea that preschool children have an “absorbent mind,” able to incorporate lessons by active interaction with the prepared environment, learning materials, and multi-aged peers.
Our classrooms give younger children a chance to look ahead and see what is coming next by watching the older children. Older children have the chance to reinforce their knowledge by sharing it with the younger children.
The Montessori classroom is a “living room” for children. The space is divided into four distinct areas: practical life, sensorial, mathematics, and language. Despite the distinct areas the curriculum is interactive and interdisciplinary. Children move freely within the classroom with a variety of activity, movement, and focus.
