At Children's Own School, we try to keep the admissions process as simple as possible. While we offer a few opportunities to get to know our community before you apply, the essence of the school must be experienced when school is in session! We look forward to getting to know your family during the admissions process.
We are very proud of our school, and we'd like to give prospective parents the chance get to know our school community! Children's Own School hosts two Information Sessions for parents to view our facilities, speak with teachers and meet with our current families. Information Sessions take place on October 21, 2017 from 10:00am to 12:00noon and January 20, 2018 from 10:00am -12:00pm. No reservations are necessary. Parents Only Please.
Children’s Own School accepts applications, accompanied by an application fee of $50.00, beginning on October 1st the year prior to admission. The application deadline is January 31, 2018.
The parent tours take place late fall through February. At that time parents will be able to meet with the Director, learn about our Montessori curriculum, and see our facility.
After we receive your application, we will call and schedule a classroom observation where you will see our amazing children in action! After your classroom observation you will have the opportunity to ask questions and schedule a child visit.
Children will be invited to visit the school during a Monday morning play session with a small group of peers. Children will interact with materials, peers and
teachers. Parents will be invited to join with the
Director while the children visit.
Decision letters are sent out at the beginning of April.
